Explosive Cali Brut Rosé!

Why We Love It...
Supernova certainly lives up to the name… searingly bright with explosive flavors that just pop! Vintner Weston Eidson is best known for his Silver Ghost Cellars and Montagu wines, both based in Napa Valley. He trained under both Jason Moore (Modus Operandi) and Russell Bevan over the years, crafting world-class pinot noir, chardonnay, and cabernet sauvignon along the way. Bubbles were stuck in his mind from very early on in his career, and just a few short years ago, he launched Supernova.
The fruit from this wine is primarily sourced from the upper reaches of Manchester Ridge – a coastal mountain site overlooking the northern reaches of the Sonoma Coast. Here, at 2,000 feet, pinot and chardonnay sit above the daily coastal fog, enjoying all the benefits of the cool, maritime climate, with full-exposure to the growing season’s ample sunshine. This Champagne-style blend – of 42% chardonnay, 55% pinot noir and 3% pinot meunier – is cluster pressed and co-fermented together, creating a delicately salmon-hued rosé that is bone-dry and a complete crowd-pleaser. For under $20, this is a Bubble Monster’s delight… every sip is delectable, and fresh, and your glass virtually drains itself in record time. Those of you who got this on the last go ‘round know the deal… pop, pour, and repeat.
With aromas of summer strawberries, watermelon rind, green apple taffy, white flowers, lime zest, starfruit… I could just go on and on. Juicy, fresh, and oh-so quaffable. Light toast notes, but certainly in the drink-me-anytime (and often!) style. This is just flat-out delicious, wicked fresh, and supremely tasty. Don’t think too long or too hard on this one, 50% off and under $20 is what this is all about. Locked, stocked, and ready to rock like a collapsing white dwarf in a runaway nuclear fusion! (i.e. - a Supernova)
Cheers!
