Michèle Ouellet understood good food and wine as a way of life by the time she reached adulthood after growing up with parents who were long-standing food-and-wine vets in Napa Valley. After jetting around the globe starting at the ripe age of 15, when she secured an international modeling contract, Michèle grew up fast and experienced global cuisines and world-renowned wines from a young age. A summer spent modeling in Paris at 16 brought her home with a newfound appreciation for Provencal rosé. Her mom Melinda Kearney, ever the supporter of her daughter’s dreams, promised they could make rosé together once Michèle was of age in the USA. A few short years later, their winery, Lorenza, was launched!

This mom-and-daughter duo’s adoration for rosé led them to focus almost exclusively on still rosé ever since production began in 2008, and they picked up a few passionate fans along the way. (Major name-drop warning: they made Oprah’s “O List,” Wall Street Journal Journal’s #1 “Optimally Priced Rosé,” and received glowing articles in Wine Enthusiast, Forbes, and beyond…just to name a few!) From the catwalk to the vineyard, Michèle and Melinda have taken over the world of California rosé, with this bubbly rising up as the natural next great project in the team’s epic portfolio! I can all but guarantee that you’ll love it as much as I do.

Truly, it is a treat to behold! Breathy aromas of red fruits like cherries, strawberries, and a beat of raspberry unfold alongside something similar to classic orange cream soda. The salmon-toned sparkling wine offers soft, minerally bubbles with accents of iron ore and a salty sea spray essence. Its fruity characters run the gamut of tart and citrusy to ripe and red – from pink grapefruit, lime, and pomelo to bright cranberry and morello cherry. The lovely finish brings in notes of juicy watermelon for a full-fledged basket of well-rounded fruity goodness, with just the right amount of minerality to ground it. An absolute banger and all-around fun sparkling wine for a downright spectacular price – I promise, you’ll want to make room for at least a handful of these in your wine fridge!
