Why We Love It...

Sparkling Brut Rosé made of 100% Pinot Noir and aged on the lees for a full three years, giving rich, round, red fruity goodness alongside searing acidic structure? Say no more; we’re in. This Alsatian Brut Rosé is made in the traditional method and is entirely delicious. With its tantalizing price of under $25, there’s no reason not to get a few.

The brilliant Domaine Jean-Marc Bernhard estate boasts more than 200 years of history – all kept within the same family, with a tradition of crafting top-notch Riesling, Pinot Gris, and Gewürztraminer. With the ninth generation currently at the helm, these wines really couldn’t get any better – and this long-time Last Bubbles favorite sparkling rosé is proof enough of that. The grapes come from the foothills of the Vosges Mountains, where the Jean-Marc Bernhard cellars were built in the 16th century. This is a splendid rosé, to be sure, with an electrifying salmon-pink hue that practically purrs “summer.”

This Crémant d’Alsace clocks in with a subtle Brut dosage and boasts 36 months aging on the lees, enhancing those creamy, autolytic notes that are so incredibly captivating. A fun fact: Alsace is one of nine areas allowed to use the word “Crémant” on their label, and all “Crémant ” wines are made in the traditional Champagne method, meaning a secondary fermentation in the bottle. They provide excellent bubbly value if you’re looking for something outside of Champagne – especially something at a tasty, drink-all-the-time price like this!

It’s also worth noting that Crémant d’Alsace is the second most consumed sparkling wine in France, outside of Champagne, and now you can get this stellar sparkler for over 30% off! It’s sincerely fantastic, and absolutely popping with croissant dough, red cherries, strawberries, roses, galaxy peaches, white nectarines, and iron ore, all wrapped up in a wonderful, fine bubbly texture. As ever, it hits all the tenderest sweet spots of the palate (and soul). With summer marching on and plenty of long, sunny days ahead – load up on this beauty of a rosé and see for yourself how satisfying it is!
