An exuberant, exotic wine, the 2010 Les Chênes (Chardonnay) boasts superb aromatic definition to match its vibrant personality. With time in the glass the 2010 opens up a touch and shows a softer, slightly more forward side of its personality. Although the 2010 remains incredibly tight and in need of bottle age, I wouldn't wait too long, as the wine's evolution in the glass suggest the 2010 might not be extremely long-lived. Then again, the 2005 that I revisited at the estate is doing just fine at age ten.
