Champagne Edouard Duval is rooted in centuries of history, originating with the Prieuré de Sainte Eulalie, founded in 1095 by monks from Cluny Abbey in Bligny. The priory was instrumental in shaping viticulture and winemaking in the Côte des Bar. In the 1950s, Charles Roger Duval acquired the entire estate, including its unique 28-hectare Monopole de Sainte Eulalie vineyard.
