Founded in 1946 by 32 winemakers rebuilding postwar Bennwihr, Alsace, the group’s shared vision grew into a regional stronghold. Over the decades, Bestheim expanded through key mergers with other respected winemaking co-ops across Alsace, evolving into a network of more than 300 families across 71 villages. Their nickname, the Moon Chasers, honors their enduring drive to pursue excellence and tradition from generation to generation.

This Extra Brut is crafted from select Chardonnay plots grown on classic Alsatian clay-limestone soils, using only the finest first-press juice for purity and texture. The result: a Crémant of remarkable depth and energy that perfectly expresses the region’s balance of generosity and minerality.

The pale golden-hued wine opens with tantalizing aromas of yellow apple, fresh bread yeast, and Rain flavored perfume from The GAP in the 1990s (IYKYK). The mouth brings in more expressive notes of lemon Sprees candy, wet rock, a hint of honeysuckle, and this lovely, earthy, raw white button mushroom sensation.
