This Heirloom Brut was made to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the winery, and boy is it worth celebrating! The grapes grown for this are sourced from high-elevation sites throughout the cooler parts of the North Bay (mostly Sonoma and Mendocino), and then finished with a Brut-level dosage on the higher side, at 11.5 grams per liter, to make this wine round and appealing. Beguiling aromas of cooling pine, crushed raspberries, and black cherries, with fresh cut hay, lead a heady, perfumed entry. Ripe Bosc pears, grapefruit pith, lemon curd, and orange cream round out the palate – culminating in a fruit-driven, plush, and absolutely crushable finish. This is balanced and easygoing, just perfect popping for any occasion!
