Why We Love It...

Gia Bella means “already beautiful,” a notion that encourages us all to appreciate life’s simple beauties… made all the easier with a refreshing glass of sparkling rosé in hand! Crafted in the traditional Champagne method, this sparkling rosé radiates elegance and charm – all for under $15 a bottle.

The Aquilini family might be best known for owning the Vancouver Canucks, but their foray into wine has been every bit as ambitious. In 2013, they turned heads in the Washington wine world by winning a landmark bid for 670 acres on Red Mountain – Washington’s smallest and most coveted AVA, prized for its Cabernet Sauvignon. That land was the last plantable acreage in the region, and the Aquilinis seized it. Today, their holdings span over 1,100 acres across Washington, with consulting legend Philippe Melka and award-winning Joshua Maloney guiding the wines of Gia Bella.

Their philosophy is simple: let the land speak. And here, it speaks volumes. This sparkling rosé – crafted entirely from Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon grown in sandy loam and gravel – carries the energy of the place in every sip. Its mineral-laced backbone and vibrant fruit are a refreshing surprise from a region better known for bold reds, and its value is downright astonishing.

This rosé shimmers with a soft peach-salmon hue, brimming with aromas of summer strawberries, hay, dried lavender, and a hint of wet cement. On the palate, it’s a dance of pomegranate, Nilla Wafers, and whipped cream, lifted by zesty acidity, a creamy mousse, and a minerally river stone finish. It’s dry, layered, and endlessly drinkable – perfect for both casual nights in and festive gatherings alike. For just $14, Gia Bella delivers the elegance and intrigue of wines twice its price. It’s the kind of bottle you’ll reach for again and again – whether it’s an impromptu celebration or just a regular Wednesday night. Keep a few chilled and ready for anything, and I promise, you’ll be glad you did!
