Founders Larry Jacobs and Mike Dobrovic re-invigorated an abandoned orchard – left fallow for over a century – in a region that would soon enough turn out to be the hottest star on the South African wine scene. They forced themselves into the market with the curb appeal of their unique vertical labels and backed it up with exceptional quality and value across their entire portfolio – whites, bubbles, and even still reds. 

This delectable 100% chenin blanc is all about the freshness. Green apple, crisp pear, Meyer lemon too…this leads with the fruit, but even more, follows in time – white florals of honeysuckle and jasmine, wild and grassy herbs like lemon verbena, tarragon, and sage, and all wrapped up in a creamy, zesty bubbly that is seriously impressive at our under $15 price! A kiss of vanilla toastiness from the 8 months in barrel prior to secondary fermentation grants this a layer of richness that most similarly priced bubbles just can’t match, and the characteristic acidity of chenin blanc keeps this pure and fresh, and likely to thrive for several years yet!
